Your Tickets

Your tickets will either be sent to you via email a few days in advance of your performance or will be held at will call (depending on what you selected when you purchased your membership).

Curtain Times

Please note, all evening performances in the 23/24 season will begin at 7:30pm. Weekday matinees begin at 2:00pm and weekend matinees start at 3:00pm. Please check your confirmation email to confirm curtain time.

Transportation to the Theatre

Steppenwolf is easily accessible by several modes of transportation. Our address is 1650 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60614. Click here for more information on planning your visit. 

• By car: Parking is available in the garage on our campus ($15 or $17) and via valet ($15). We also offer accessible parking in the Front Bar parking lot on the north side of the theater.
• By public transportation: We are a block away from the North/Clybourn stop on the Red Line, and the #8 and #72 buses stop right in front of the theatre.
• By bike: There are places to lock up your bike in front of the theater, and we’re happy to hold onto your bags and helmet during the performance.

Bars & Drinks

All three bars—Front Bar and the two lobby bars—are open before each performance. Front Bar offers food options too. You can also skip the line and order drinks for intermission before the show!

Comfort & Accessibility

Our goal is for our theater to be as comfortable to everyone as possible. We offer:

Assisted Listening Devices: These personal devices amplify the sound for an easier listening experience. Pick them up at the gift shop with an ID. We also have an induction loop—if your hearing aid or cochlear implant has a T-coil, feel free to turn it on during the performance.

Accessible Performances: Open-Captioning, American Sign Language interpretation, and Audio Description is offered for select performance dates. We also offer sensory-friendly, relaxed performances.

Wheelchair Accessibility: A courtesy wheelchair is available through our Front-of-House office on a first-come/first serve basis. We have wheelchair accessible seats in all our theaters, and all our lobby bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Gender Neutral and Gendered Bathrooms. We offer both gender neutral and gendered bathrooms. Gender neutral bathrooms are on the first floor next to Front Bar, and on the second floor outside the entrance to the Ensemble Theatre. Gendered bathrooms are on the second floor next to the Downstairs Theatre entrance.
